AAPI Heritage Month Social Media Campaign
Project for: South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs
Project Description:
Developed a series of social media banner designs and platform-optimized graphics to celebrate and educate the public about Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month in South Carolina. The campaign aimed to highlight the cultural diversity, history, and contributions of AAPI communities across the state.
Custom illustrated portraits were created using Procreate on an iPad to honor local individuals and cultural icons, adding a personal and artistic touch to the campaign. These illustrations were refined and formatted in Adobe Photoshop to ensure consistency across digital platforms.
Each visual asset was thoughtfully designed to align with the Commission’s brand guidelines while incorporating culturally relevant imagery, typography, and color schemes. Graphics were tailored for multiple platforms including Facebook and Instagram to maximize reach and engagement.
The campaign emphasized storytelling, community recognition, and educational facts, helping to foster inclusion and cultural awareness among South Carolinians.
