South Carolina Civil Rights Museum: A Closer Look
Project for: South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs
Filmed and edited a short-form documentary-style video highlighting the South Carolina Civil Rights Museum, founded by acclaimed civil rights photographer Cecil J. Williams. The video brings to life powerful narratives of resistance, progress, and everyday heroism through archival imagery, motion graphics, and carefully paced storytelling.
Featured segments include exhibits on the Briggs family, the Orangeburg Movement, and other pivotal moments in South Carolina’s civil rights history. The final piece was designed to educate, inspire, and honor those who helped shape the state’s ongoing fight for racial justice.
